For the 2016/17 sports bursaries, the panel selected 3 County Level athletes to award with a financial bursary with the intention of assisting them to reach the next level of their chosen sport. The Active-In team were very impressed with each of their applications and look forward to monitoring their progress with great interest of the next 12 months. Lilli Clarke-Pratt - High Jump (Athletics)
A wooburn Green based athlete that competes in the high jump as part of the Windsor, Slough, Eton and Hounslow club. In the past year Lilli has represented at and achieved high placements at a number of events including the Bucks County Championships, South of England Indoor Championships, and the UK Youth Development League finals.
Ben Layne - 400m (Athletics)
A member of the Wycombe Phoenix Harriers, Ben is a 400m specialist that has competed in a number of County level competitions. As reigning Bucks Under 17's County Champion, his most recent performance resulted in a 6th place finish in the final of the Inter-County compeition in Bromley.
Gina Mullis - Squash
Competing for the Bucks County at Under 13's level, Gina won the National Inter-County Championships in Nottingham in January 2016. A member of the Wycombe Squash and Racketball club, she has excelled through the rankings and is currently in the top 25 at her age group in England.
